The History of Tomorrow: The Discourse of Science and the Imagination of the Future in Asian Science Fictions

Project abstract:

This project is a discursive study on the representations, politics and framework that Asian scifi (areas: Japan, Indonesia) works on and creates which may construct alternative standpoints vis-a-vis the hegemonic Westernist conception of science, the future and science fiction narratives. It involves textual research and with writers and scholars.
